Oriental Market Taste Testing

There is an Oriental Market in town that I have always wanted to try, but always felt a bit awkward, although I was not sure why. So, after I picked my daughter up from school, we headed over the the Oriental Market. Well, the place smelled like fish, really strongly, but not to be deterred, we headed in. There was a large fish market in the back, but we headed to the dry foods section, hoping to try some of the packaged treats. We took home several crackers and treats. Our favorite was a potato/fry chip, which tasted like potato chips. We also tried seaweed wrapped rice crackers and a cookie whose packaging was all in Chinese (I think). The cookie was awful, but the seaweed cracker was passable. It was an interesting taste adventure.

Play-dough fun on a chilly day

What do we do when it is chilly and windy outside? Well, make play-dough creations of course! It has been a long time since we had a chance to just stay home, play with dough and watch movies. Slowing down and just enjoying our time together is something I try to carve out time for. My little pony creation kind of lost its head during the process!
